Logan County Department of Job and Family Services partners with Logan County Children’s Services, which strives to ensure that children have safe, stable and permanent homes to live in.

- Investigates reports of suspected child abuse or neglect and assessing risk to the child.
- Promotes stability and ensures safety of children by providing families supportive in-home services such as case planning, coordination of services and home management.
- Recruits, trains and licenses foster and adoptive families to care for children who are unable to remain safely in their birth home. The agency provides similar support for kinship caregivers, relatives who provide a safe home for children when they must be removed from their birth home.
- Identifies and coordinates specialized services for the family and address problems that contributed to the child abuse and neglect. Such services include mental health, and/or drug and/or alcohol counseling for families and children.
- Works cooperatively with the Logan County Juvenile Court as well as many other community partners to ensure that children have a safe, stable and permanent home.
