Child Care
The Logan County Department of Job and Family Services (LCDJFS) offers a helping hand to qualifying families who are striving to become self-sufficient as they work or attend school and training. We help them pay the cost of child care.
To receive this benefit, families need to take their children to child care providers that are certified by LCDJFS or are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and under contract with LCDJFS. We pay the child care benefit directly to the child care provider or center, while the families pay a portion of the cost based on their income and family size.
To qualify, families must:
To help ensure the quality of child care provided through this program LCDJFS certifies qualified providers who care for six or fewer children in their homes. And the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services inspects and licenses child care centers, child day camps and private homes that care for seven or more children.
